So, let us know who will be doing something for this project... I think it's about time to introduce ourselves to each other...
Matthew Johnston was born and raised in Oregon (born in Portland, rasied
in Klamath Falls, and Beaverton) and goes to college at the University of
Oregon in Eugene.
Matthew has been a part of a couple minor projects and club,s and one
major production. That is the production of an anime-based collectable
card game, "Anime Madness." Matthew did graphic design, rules, and
generally had a hand in most every part of the production, often spending
days and nights working on graphic designs and rules texts, editing and
re-editing until it looked right to him. The game was produced in an
edition of 5000 copies, and has, over the last 2 years, sold fairly well.
At this point all but 100 decks have been sold, and Matt has broken even,
claiming even a tiny profit.
Matt is a Japanese animation fan, as well as a fan of Dream Theater (and
many other progressive bands). He also likes most any kind of music, and
listens incessently as a hobby. His band is currently a summer project,
but as more members join him in Eugene, recording will seem less a
fantasty and more a reality.
His contribution to the compilation CD will
be a 6-minute ballad Time Gone By.
Name: Peter Andrew Tatischev
Age: 17 (5-3-80)
Peter was born and raised in Moscow and now goes to the Russian State University for the Humanities where he studies
applied linguistics (with artificial intelligence bias)...
Music is one of his hobbies, but it takes great amount of his time, cause he did go to the producer's
courses (and there he was tauhgt by a man who had worked with Greg Walsh and Desmond Child).
During these courses he got to produce a couple of songs here which were not very successful, but
on the othere hand they got some attention...
He also takes jazz-bass lessons from one of the best bassist in Russia and of course plays the BASS
himself - he is currently the bassist in theree different projects: a HM band called L.O.R.D where
he plays the bass-parts as a session musician, a progressive semi-cover band, and an acoustic projet
in the vein of Jethro Tull...
His other hobbies are web-surfing, software testing (and sometimes writing and cracking), and poetry...
His contibution to the CD will probably be the song Let'em Live, which is currently in the process
of music-writing, and he also wants to get some people to record it (isn't it crazy to play all the instruments alone? :-)
by march-april.
And we'll have to choose the liner for the CD (so far there's only one liner ready, or I don't know about
others - please tell me!!!)...
